I am writing to thank you. I recently underwent an abdominoplasty, breast lift, and revision liposuction. I was very cautious in choosing my cosmetic surgeon. Several years prior to my recent procedures, I had liposuction by another cosmetic surgeon. Being a nurse myself, I thought I had done well by choosing a board certified doctor. This was not the case. My results were less than satisfactory—to say the least.

Although a physician may be proficient enough in their technical skills to receive board certification, the artistry which cosmetic surgery requires cannot be taught. "You're not wearing that—are you?" Those words from my mother led me to Dr. White. I had liposuction by another surgeon and months later my thighs were still so uneven you could see the difference in my clothes. I had a lot of swelling, bruising, and pain after my surgery. I only got to see the doctor once after my surgery because on all of my follow-up appointments I was only seen by his nurse. Needless to say, I was disappointed by my first plastic surgery experience.

I thought all plastic surgeons were alike until I found Dr. White. I came to Dr. White for a correction after my first liposuction. What a difference—my mom couldn't believe the change! I had very little swelling or bruising and much less discomfort than with my first liposuction surgery by the other doctor.

I was scared to have plastic surgery. Years ago, I had liposuction done by a prominent surgeon. My pain was terrible and wasn’t relieved for weeks! I cried all the time and wasn’t able to return to work as soon as I had hoped. I had one follow-up visit with this physician to have post-surgery photos taken. That was it!! I thought this was how ALL plastic surgery was!

From the beginning, Dr. White took time to sit down with my husband and me to answer questions and explain the differences in plastic surgery. Having had two beautiful children didn’t come without a price. My body took a heavy hit from the physical stress caused by my pregnancies. Having researched a lot of plastic surgeons in the area, I chose Dr. White for my procedures (Tummy Tuck and Liposuction)—and I’m sure glad I did. After all, whether you came out a defective model from the assembly line or whether wear and tear of daily living took its toll, there’s nothing wrong with going back in for some repairs!!!

Bad results from cosmetic surgeries are more common that one would think. Having personally seen horribly rippled skin from some overzealous liposuction, I had flags set in my head on the criteria for choosing a plastic surgeon for my procedure. I believe plastic surgery is a subtle field and the intricacies can take many years to master. It is precisely these intricacies and attention to detail (that translates to quality results for his patients) that impresses me the most about Dr. White. This is one case where you DO get what you pay for. I’m glad I didn’t go for any ”deals“ and chose smart.

Also important to me was that I choose a surgeon who cares for my health and well-being as much as he cares about the results. Anybody who sends in a nurse to check on me post op wasn’t going to make the cut. I could not have asked for a better doctor here than Dr. White. Both pre and post op surgical care was excellent to the nth degree. Dr. White personally checked on me several times over the course of my hospital stay (though it was a weekend) and was always promptly available to answer any / all questions. I personally clocked it once that the time from when I called his after-hours line to when he returned my call was less than a minute! Such commitment to patients is rare and makes the difference between a good surgeon and an exceptional one. It also made me very comfortable to know that Dr. White would never compromise health and safety for looks.

Talking about the results themselves—they could not have been any better! Eyes pop when I tell people that I have children. While I never obsessed about my looks, the admiring glances are enough to know that I look the best I ever have. But even more important to me is the happiness and much needed confidence it gives me. I needed to have a hysterectomy because of fibroids, but I have really wanted to have a tummy tuck for years. I decided to see Dr. White to find out what would be involved in doing both operations at the same time. I discovered that I could take a negative (needing to have a hysterectomy) and turn it into a positive (getting a flat new tummy with a tummy tuck). That is exactly what I did. What a difference! I now have a barely visible scar, a belly button that looks like all the famous fashion models and a waistline for the first time in my life. Breast augmentation was one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. I am very happy with the size and shape of my breasts. They look very real and natural for my body size. I am only about a month out and my scars are hardly noticeable. I am sure that by the time I am fully healed you won’t be able to see them at all.

Dr. White was so great. I would recommend him to my friends. He never tried to pressure me or sugar-coat things so that I would have the surgery done. He was very informative. He explained the surgery to me and why he performs it the way he does.

Well, where should I begin? I have so much to say!

True patient care has become quite a cliché in today’s society... but when it comes to Dr. White, it couldn’t be more genuine.

I am a 26 year old male who needed a tummy tuck. The problem was there are few to no 26 year old MEN who have had one. Herein lies the problem: I found thousands of women who have gone through the procedure, but not men. Obviously, this made me very apprehensive. So I performed as much research as I could on my own and studied everything I could get my hands on ... but still could not find any research about Tummy Tucks on Men. So, I decided to go on several consultations with several publicly recognized Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeons. Each appointment I went on was the same: Talk to a receptionist in the consult room for 15 minutes about the surgery, anesthesia, recovery, etc... the doctor comes in and looks at me for a minute or two, asks me if I have questions, and I’m done. In and out in about 20 minutes. I thought this was the norm.

I heard about Dr. White through a relative, and went on a consultation. Dr. White spent an hour and a half with me explaining not just about how the surgery is performed, but why it’s performed the way it is. He walked me through step by step every point during the surgery. He told me that his full tummy tucks are done in a hospital and not in an outpatient center. He told me that he uses real anesthesiologists only. He made me feel like his only patient. This was so inconsistent with the other doctors.

Dr. White told me that male tummy tucks are uncommon, but he showed me the differences between this procedure on a man and a woman. He showed me the attention to detail that he has during surgery... That my surgery would take as long as it should to get the best possible results the safest way possible. He told me about all of the preventative measures he takes to ensure my safety during the procedure... Something that the other doctors didn’t do. He told me that the follow-up visits are crucial, that I needed to see him as often as twice per week in the first two or three weeks following surgery to ensure that my body was handling the surgery OK. The other doctors told me that I would need to come one time three weeks after surgery, but to call if I had any problems. Do you think this is where the ”true patient care“ cliché was born? I think so.

Aside from a perfect surgery with a phenomenal result, is my self-esteem. I wanted this procedure done for so many different reasons. Dr. White TRULY understood me and shares in my elation. The best part of all is that I have made a new friend... Someone who I believe truly cares. Not just someone who says so in a brochure. Thanks Dr. White !

When I first decided to have plastic surgery, I wasn’t sure where to start. So I gathered information—from magazines, the internet, TV shows, etc. While all of this research helped me decide how to pick a surgeon, nothing prepared me for the wonderful experience I had with Dr. White and his staff.

Although I never intended to have cosmetic surgery on my nose, it became a necessity after breaking it and not having it repaired correctly.

I was so amazed at Dr. White’s attention to detail and his passion and commitment to what he does. If only more medical doctors would have those characteristics. The results of the surgery have amazed me. My nose not only looks back to normal—but it looks much better than ever before. The family ”nose“ is not really on my face anymore. It has improved my self esteem about my looks which I never expected to happen. Truly a success story!

The time that Dr. White took in surgery demonstrates that he did everything very precisely and to the best of his ability with no time constraints. I am extremely pleased with the results and would and do recommend people to him who are seeking a plastic surgeon. The other thing that amazed me about Dr. White was his bedside manner. He was in the hospital room not too long after surgery and was getting me up and walking with me down the hall in the hospital. What doctor would do that? None that I know of—except Dr. White! Thank you so much for helping my wife and I the night of our accident. I had often wished that I could go back in time and prevent her injury. Thanks to you, it is almost as if I had. Although my emergency surgery was across town and went very late into the night, your skill and dedication were unwavering—spending hours in surgery doing everything possible for me. My son needed a small split just under his eyebrow stitched up. I asked for a plastic surgeon in the ER at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. Dr. White showed up less than 45 minutes later. Upon entering the room, he introduced himself to me and then basically ignored me. He focused on my son, who was just 5, and started to build up trust. He talked to him, told him what they were going to do, told him when it would hurt and when it wouldn’t. He told him the truth, and that is what is needed with children. He even put up with me taking pictures of the procedure for my son’s Show & Tell in kindergarten the next day. He made a very scary situation for a child much easier by his truthfulness, empathy, and wonderful bedside manner and taking the time to listen to my son’s fears and calming them.

I cannot tell you how shocked I was when Dr. White handed me his business card and he was not a ”pediatric“ plastic surgeon. I thought for certain with the tenderness and professionalism he showed with my son he must have only worked with children. He was just as wonderful with him when the stitches were removed and for the follow-up.

He is one of my son’s favorite doctors and wants to know when we will visit him again. Fortunately, you can hardly see a scar and we will no longer need his services. My son is sad about that. Dr. White, thank you for making a scary situation bearable for my son. Keep up the kindness please, and thank you!

Last summer my husband and I got the dreaded phone call in Cozumel that our son was in the ER, awaiting stitches in his eyebrow from a plastic surgeon. We sat anxiously near the phone and finally my step-mother called us back to say that he was OK and that the plastic surgeon, Dr. White, was just incredible!! She talked about how you were very gentle yet fun natured with him. She said that he was thrilled to pick out blue stitches and that he thought it was fun to be wrapped up like a burrito.

Before I brought him to your office to have his stitches removed, I was a little anxious to meet you... this man who had taken such good care of my son. I feel very blessed that you were the one to stitch his eyebrow up and that you are still (a year after) checking up on him to ensure that his scar heals just right. While I hate that he ever fell and needed stitches, I am very thankful that I met you.

Since the birth of our second son 3 years ago, I knew that eventually I would have my stomach repaired. I am so glad that I chose you to do the surgery.
