Had Gynecomastia Surgery with Dr White 2 months ago…very positive experience. Details below: Pre-Op visit- The pre-op visit is very educational. I watched an informational video by Dr White before meeting with him, which addressed most of my questions/anxieties about surgery. Dr White took his time to thoroughly explain the surgery during my pre-op visit, never felt rushed or pressured at anytime during the process. I could tell from my initial visit, safety is the top priority for Dr White. Day of Surgery - Met with Dr White the morning of surgery. Again, he took his time to answer additional questions, and made sure I felt comfortable and relaxed. Post Surgery - I woke up with minimal pain, which subsided quickly. The nursing staff was incredibly kind and got me back to feeling 100% the next day. Dr White checked up on me multiple times the following day. Follow-Ups - visited with Dr White every 2 weeks for follow-ups. Again, he spent plenty of time with me answering all my questions. He fitted me with new compression garments as I shrunk out of the old, and made sure I was following post-op instructions. It felt amazing to see how quickly I shrunk over the first 4 weeks. Conclusion - my experience with Dr White was first class. He was very generous with his time; appointments with him never felt rushed. I had a breast augmentation done with Dr. White about 12 years ago and have been very happy with how natural feeling/looking my results have been for so many years. As I’ve gotten older and gratefully become a Mom, my body has changed so decided to pursue options for firming up other parts of my body. I work out daily (HIIT workouts) and have cleaned up my diet, but now well into my 40’s, still had parts of my body that wouldn’t firm up as preferred. Gyno Procedure - Worth It! - I had a severe case of gyno and reached out to Dr. White to learn more. I am now almost 2 months post surgery and I couldn't be more happy with the results. To anyone holding off due to money, it is worth learning more and looking at the before and after photo's Dr. White has in his office to see if this is right for you. I found that the photos available online were only a small representation of what to expect.From my research before the surgery Dr. White appeared very experienced with this procedure, which can be an embarrassing thing to look up and talk about. After meeting with him in person and learning about his technique it became obvious that he is a professional and I'd be in good hands. Surgery last summer and couldn't be more pleased with the results. I highly recommend Dr. White to any and all persons contemplating cosmetic surgery for gynecomastia within the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Here is a little more information about my experience with Dr. White and consultation with other cosmetic surgeons in the Dallas area: Prior to selecting Dr. White, I consulted with two doctors: one doctor was totally unimpressive, can't even remember his name, and the second, Dr. ‘X’ of Plano, just wasn't a fit for me. Both men held a lengthy list of academic and professional credentials/achievements, but neither left me feeling certain they were the right choice. For instance, the visit with Dr. ‘X’ seemed somewhat informal. I looked at a very simple 3-ring binder of previous surgical before-and-after photos, followed by a short consultation to conclude with his surgical game plan: remove the ball of fat beneath my nipples (which gave them a puffed appearance) and no liposuction. He was a professional kind of guy, nice, but just didn't feel he was the right fit for me. Further, as I am somewhat young (23 at the time of surgery) I'm not sure whether my inquiry into surgery was taken seriously; I sensed he wrote me off as a serious client before the close of the visit. In all, both the surgeons left me a little miffed and seriously let down that finding a surgeon would be more difficult than initially anticipated. My experience with Dr. White was totally in opposition to the previous two doctors. First off, his office staff was incredibly polite and well versed with the procedure. And, on a more superficial note, the office ---and the staff for that matter --- were very upscale, super posh. For example, pre-and-post op surgical photos were displayed on large flat panel television, not a lackluster three ring binder. Of course, had the photos been sup-par or few in number my choice would have been look elsewhere; however, there were many fine examples of his work. Further, his assistant narrowed the photos down to patients with similarity to my own as to show what could be done...very personalized and specific. By the end of my consultation, I went forward and scheduled my procedure. The price was more than the other doctors with which I consulted; however, Dr. White insisted the additional procedure of liposuction across the chest. He said if only the bulbous gland beneath the nipple were removed, a depression in the immediate area could subsequently develop, a point overlooked/left out by either of the two other doctors. I'm super pleased with Dr. White. My experience before, during, and post-surgery was nothing less than wonderful. Wish I had undergone the procedure at 18 rather than 23, but happy to have had done so nonetheless. More

xxl to small - Just Do It! If you are sitting there wondering who to go to for a cosmetic procedure, then I am here to tell you Dr. Steven J. White is the BEST! I first met Dr. White about 16 yrs ago, when he did my tummy tuck after my 3rd child (which is still flat as a pancake). I loved him right away. He is so kind and takes his time to explain every detail to you. So, when I decided that I wanted to get some lipo done it was a NO BRAINER. I had put on some weight in the regular problem areas and was tired of feeling frumpy. I went in to see him and was greeted by the sweetest girls. His staff is just a warm extension of who he is and what he represents. The procedure went off with out a hitch. I ended up having lipo done all around the mid section. The back area, flakes and even a bit on my upper abdomen. The procedure was done on a Friday and I was back at work the next Monday ( at my desk job). Yes I was sore, but not in pain. It was just a little uncomfortable, but nothing that some Tylenol couldn't fix. My husband was shocked. He kept telling me over the weekend that there would be no way for me to go back to work so soon. Honestly, I was pretty surprised myself! About two years ago, my best friend had liposuction of her arms with Dr. White. As her friend, I did not feel like she “needed it”, however the results were most definitely powerful! So before I say anything, I’ve got to atone for a heinous crime that I committed when we last spoke. In my previous review I raved about how amazing Dr. White and his team is and basically did an Oscar acceptance speech thanking them; however, I forgot about one extremely important group of people that make this whole process possible. Dr. Zipper, Dr. White’s go to anesthesiologist, and his team (Carol and the gang) were nothing short of fantastic. It must have slipped my mind in the last review because I was unconscious for 97.3% of our entire interaction, but I honestly think that’s how you measure the quality of an anesthesiologist…if you aren’t unconscious, they’re definitely doing something wrong. Main idea is that my past statement applies to everyone that Dr. White sends his patients to because he knows that the quality of his work is not only based off of what he does but also the people that he trusts to support him.Now on to the reason I’m here: I know some of you may be saying to yourself, “Why is this guy posting another review? I thought Dr. White already took care of him and I can’t take another long winded review, Netflix shows don’t binge watch themselves after all.” Which is fair…hurtful, but fair. I’ve been dealing with gynecomastia my whole life. It runs in the family, but I’ve done everything humanly possible through diet and exercise to get rid of it. I was thinking about a tummy tuck for a while. I had a 4-inch thick, vertical scar from an operation 20 years ago. After having two children, I had a lot of loose skin in the front, and a “muffin-top”. They won’t go away no matter how much I exercise. I had a bulge in the upper tummy as well. I stayed away from any tight-fitting clothing so to hide. My waist won’t slim down. I consulted another surgeon for just liposuction options, but she told me it won’t solve my problems. I had a few worries about tummy tuck and postponed the surgery for almost a year. I worried about recovery time being too long and I would not be able to travel. Tummy Tuck, Lip fillers, arm liposuction, breast implant removal, breast lift and reduction Tummy Tuck I am 33 years old and when I was in high school weighed 320+ pounds, it took many years to lose a little over 100 pounds which led to a huge insecurity of mine (flabby skin all over my body) When I was 23 in college I went to a plastic surgeon who said he could do my breast lift and implants in one surgery and the price was good, that was a big mistake (you get what you pay for). I had 3 doctors on my list to consult before having a tummy tuck and liposuction of my outer thighs. Dr. White was the first doctor I consulted. He was very thorough and explained everything so I could understand it. He answered all my questions and was very informative about the procedures I inquired about. A few years ago I had a procedure by another Dallas plastic surgeon. My recovery was painful and miserable. Not to mention I was bruised and on pain pills for weeks. I knew if I ever wanted to get cosmetic surgery done again I would for sure do my research and look to see who the best doctor in Dallas was. When the time came for me to look into liposuction, I chose Dr. White based upon his experience and patient satisfaction, but most importantly it was meeting him which changed my whole perception of my experience before. Don?t waste your time. You know what you need to do. Fatty breasts on a man won?t generally resolve without surgical help. Take it from me. I tried. I tried drugs, natural remedies, fat loss creams, weight loss overall, and even Cool Sculpting. None of those will work well on gynecomastia especially if it is longstanding. However, there is good news. I know you are dreading the thought of surgery probably but Dr. Steven White is Michelangelo with a liposuction cannula and scalpel. He knows how to resolve this problem amazingly well with virtually invisible (yes, almost imperceptible) scarring and no loss of sensation in the nipple or elsewhere. I have had many procedures with Dr. White. NO OTHER SURGEON WILL EVER TOUCH ME. I currently underwent a brow lift w/ lower blepharoplasty (lower eyelids). For years, I've been considering surgery for gynecomastia (male breast reduction), never feeling comfortable when wearing tight shirts or for that matter...wearing no shirt. I went to several cosmetic surgeons for consultations, and eventually was referred to Dr. Steven White by a close friend and medical doctor. He told me that Dr. White would be his personal choice and I could expect nothing short of perfection?. I am now two months after the procedure and have indeed had an outstanding experience with Dr. White as well as his staff throughout this journey. The results are truly magical. Dr. White's approach was very different than all the other surgeons I consulted with. He uses a liposuction cannula (the "straw" that is used for liposuction) that is half the diameter of that commonly used by the rest of the profession. He also targets not only the breast area, but also the upper torso down to just above the navel. This procedure takes a bit longer...I was "asleep" for nearly 5 hours, though it seemed like a minute to me. However, the narrow cannula allowed for more precise suction, speeded up my recovery time, made the incision around the nipple area invisible and healed nicely to provide a very natural result, given the shrinking of the larger surface area treated. I'm a 51 year old male that would never take off my shirt, my own kids never seen me with out a shirt on. So my wife had Dr. White to do a breast lift for her a few months before. I never thought I would be a person who would go for a plastic surgery. I am surrounded by doctors between family and friends, includes my own father. These people are all for good health and doing it the right way eat well and exercise. I myself am all about natural way of doing things and do not mess with nature kind of person. I followed that principle and had a trainer for 3 years trying to loose all the belly fat. It did not seem like I was getting close to my goals any time in this life. There was a point I just had this bucket list wish to see my self slim and fit into nice cloths. This triggered for me to peruse to get tummy tuck and lipo. I had low oxygen levels in my lungs after surgery, so he had to ordered a CT scan for lungs. The point here is he is very particular on how to handle the patient after surgery. So instead of just putting the order, he made sure he was present in the radiology room with me as I was moved onto the scanning table. That was the time I had further confirmation, he is just not a plastic surgeon but a surgeon who is very detail oriented and precise from before to after surgery. Even the nurses and caregivers care for you in a specific way if you are Dr. White's patient. For best results follow all the little things Dr. White and his staff tell you, it does make a difference in the results. I like the position of the scars from tummy tuck and the way they have healed so far. As for the lipo the results look great the skin looks smooth and uniform. All this is truly the result of the long hours Dr. White take to do the procedure in very precise way with innovative techniques. If my daughter becomes a doctor I would like to get her trained by a doctor like Dr. White. I continue to eat healthy and exercise. Since 2006 I've been wanting to get a breast augmentation but never really knew where to begin to look. After several years of looking around for a doctor I finally ran into Dr. White. An excellent doctor and a beautiful result – My results from a liposuction procedure performed by Dr. White this year far exceeded my expectations. I consulted with a number of plastic surgeons and did extensive reading about liposuction before deciding on Dr. White. My choice was based on several factors: (i) his reputation, which is excellent, (ii) his willingness to explain liposuction, and how it works, and (iii) how he explained his particular way of doing liposuction, which may take more time, but brings about a smoother and more natural look. I had been warned by another plastic surgeon that I would have sagging, dimpled skin in one area on my legs after the procedure, which could not be helped. I am a 40 year old registered nurse, former research scientist, and former quality assurance analyst. I have had nine surgeries, six of which have been cosmetic. I went to one board certified plastic surgeon for liposuction; after two attempts and $20,000, he still didn't get it right. Next, I had a rhinoplasty by another plastic surgeon that checked out under investigation --- but this surgery has worsened my breathing problem. I then proceeded to have breast implants and a mini tummy tuck with another very reputable board certified surgeon. I woke from surgery with extreme itching yet was sent home after surgery. By the next day while at home, the skin on my abdomen was sloughing off like I had been burned chemically. We called the surgeon. He was very professional and handled the incident as quickly as he could. Please note however that if I had this procedure done at a facility where there were nurses to observe me overnight --- a hospital --- my medical treatment would have been expedited exponentially. After much upset, my face was beginning to show serious aging around the eyes and forehead. I proceeded with the usual diligence with research and tons of questions, but was absolutely terrified of having another board certified 'yahoo' cut on my most beloved feature: my eyes..... Our Thanks to Dr. White and his phenomenal staff!! Plastic surgery was only something that I recently decided to do. I did extensive research on the procedures I desired prior to embarking on looking for a physician. I came across Dr. White in a rather unusual way. My husband and I were looking through a D Magazine and came across an advertisement about him. My sister-in-law happened to be looking over my shoulder and made the idle remark that she knew Dr. White's work, as many of her co-workers had procedures done by him and looked great. Based on her comment alone, I decided to start with Dr. White. After my initial consultation, my husband and I knew who was going to perform the procedures I wanted done. I visited 2 other doctors to be sure my instincts, as well as my husband's were correct, and they were. I must commend Dr. White and the approach he makes to his practice; I have never seen such a passionate and devoted physician as he. To spend the amount of time he did just on my initial consultation was remarkable. The procedures I had done were breast augmentation, liposuction and a mini-tummy tuck. My first thoughts of liposuction instilled feelings of excitement, fear and anxiety at the same time. I was excited when I imagined how I would look after surgery and scared to death when I thought about the actual process. I met other doctors, but never left those consultations with any certainty that I understood the procedure or what to expect. I spoke to friends who had liposuction and walked away with an arsenal full of horror stories! They told me all about the pain, swelling, misery and scarring. Most of them had ¬º inch to ¬O inch incisions. I was just about ready to forego the idea of surgery, and then I met Dr. White. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. White. On the day of the appointment I talked a friend into going with me. It was her job to make sure I walked away with all my questions answered. After a few hours with Dr. White, I had all the answers I needed. I was blown away by his honesty and impressed by his knowledge and experience. By the end of the consultation, every fear, every doubt, and all uncertainty disappeared. Dr. White put me at ease and I knew I was in good hands. I experienced some of the funniest moments in my life during this process! From the before photos in front of the blue wall to being prepped for surgery, I can honestly say I had a great time! And who knew they play rock and roll in the OR! Friends and family kept asking prior to the day of surgery if I was nervous or scared. I kept thinking I would be scared once I was being rolled into the operating room. But I never felt uncomfortable and I was never scared. After surgery I was moved to a hospital room in case I needed to spend the night. Dr. White took every precaution with me because my surgery took longer than expected. As I woke up from surgery I felt some pain and discomfort, but really only a four on a scale of ten. I remember thinking, This isn't bad at all. At about ten o'clock that night, Dr. White came to see me at the hospital. I was thrilled to see his smiling face walk through the door. He has such a calming presence and reassuring way about him. I even caught the glimmer in his eye when he saw that I was doing so well. I am happy to say I came through like a champ! I even went home late that night. Recovery has been so easy because I have done everything that Dr. White instructed. I did bruise more that the average person but I never experienced horrible discomfort. Just seeing the progress after surgery makes everything worth it! Each and every day I notice improvements. It has only been four weeks and I am back in size 4! (By the way, I am still shrinking!!) The follow up appointments are such an encouragement. Not only is my health being attended to, but I walk away inspired to keep up the good work! Dr. White emphasizes detail, precision, and accuracy. Each of these is portrayed in his work. He takes the extra time and effort to make sure the result is exactly what you wanted. Although a perfectionist, he balances his technical expertise with a kind heart and personal attention. There is such a difference in my attitude and self confidence. Prior to surgery, I was complacent and unhappy. My self image was damaged and I did not feel comfortable participating in the things I used to love. I gave up hobbies, friends, and volunteer opportunities because I didn't feel good about myself. I didn't know how to be a blessing to others when I didn't like the person that stared back at me in the mirror. I'm not certain how to simply state the enormous impact that Dr. White has had on my life. For me, liposuction has been so much more that a physical beauty transformation. It's been a coming into my own and an adventure I'm thoroughly enjoying! I grew up in a wildly supportive family with old-fashion values. For that, I am eternally grateful. I went into surgery simply wanting to wear jeans. I'm five and a half months post surgery and can honestly say that I like what I see in the mirror. This transformation has nothing to do what others think of me and everything to do with how I feel about me. The results are remarkable and I often cannot believe my eyes. Having had two beautiful children didn't come without a price. My body took a heavy hit from the physical stress caused by my pregnancies. Having researched a lot of plastic surgeons in the area, I chose Dr. White for my procedures (Tummy Tuck and Liposuction) --- and I'm sure glad I did. After all, whether you came out a defective model from the assembly line or whether wear and tear of daily living took its toll, there's nothing wrong with going back in for some repairs!!! Bad results from cosmetic surgeries are more common that one would think. Having personally seen horribly rippled skin from some overzealous liposuction, I had flags set in my head on the criteria for choosing a plastic surgeon for my procedure. I believe plastic surgery is a subtle field and the intricacies can take many years to master. It is precisely these intricacies and attention to detail (that translates to quality results for his patients) that impresses me the most about Dr. White. This is one case where you DO get what you pay for. I'm glad I didn't go for any deals and chose smart. Also important to me was that I choose a surgeon who cares for my health and well-being as much as he cares about the results. Anybody who sends in a nurse to check on me post op wasn't going to make the cut. I could not have asked for a better doctor here than Dr. White. Both pre and post op surgical care was excellent to the nth degree. Dr. White personally checked on me several times over the course of my hospital stay (though it was a weekend) and was always promptly available to answer any and all questions. I personally clocked it once that the time from when I called his after-hours line to when he returned my call was less than a minute! Such commitment to patients is rare and makes the difference between a good surgeon and an exceptional one. It also made me very comfortable to know that Dr. White would never compromise health and safety for looks. Talking about the results themselves --- they could not have been any better! Eyes pop when I tell people that I have children. While I never obsessed about my looks, the admiring glances are enough to know that I look the best I ever have. For close to thirty years, I have haunted the offices of the best plastic surgeons in Dallas hoping to find one who could restore my stomach to some semblance of how it looked before I had children. I never could find one whose results were good enough for me to want to have a tummy tuck until I met Dr. White. Dr. White was the only surgeon to suggest an extended abdominoplasty, which would remove loose skin all the way around to my back and, along with some liposuction on my legs, might actually give me a shape better than I had before any of my pregnancies. I am a male 53 years old. I have never before been able to wear tight fitting shirts or been able to swim without a shirt due to large breasts. I was always so self-conscious about my chest area and embarrassed to take off my shirt. Now after the breast reduction (liposuction), I am able to wear every shirt that I want to.
