I had always told myself after having babies if I needed help putting everything back in place I would. After my last baby I kept putting if off, more nervous about the whole "how will this turn out". Dr. White is a brilliant, caring & compassionate plastic surgeon. He is extremely passionate about giving his patients the body they desire & he believes in precision surgery to get them the best possible results. I consulted Dr. White for a tummy tuck after losing some 70lbs. I had been overweight most of my adult life and even though I had lost all this weight, I was nowhere close to having the figure I wanted. I was apprehensive about getting such a complicated surgery & had doubts about the results, but Dr. White allayed all my concerns during the initial consultation. He explained the procedure in detail, showed me the numerous before and after pictures of his patients and took the time to answer all my questions. I signed up that very same day & it is the best decision I have ever made. The entire process was smooth & well planned. Every little detail had been thought through – the pre and post op instructions were discussed with me, I was required to watch videos so I would know what to expect and how to take care of myself post surgery. Surgery last summer and couldn't be more pleased with the results. I highly recommend Dr. White to any and all persons contemplating cosmetic surgery for gynecomastia within the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Here is a little more information about my experience with Dr. White and consultation with other cosmetic surgeons in the Dallas area: Prior to selecting Dr. White, I consulted with two doctors: one doctor was totally unimpressive, can't even remember his name, and the second, Dr. ‘X’ of Plano, just wasn't a fit for me. Both men held a lengthy list of academic and professional credentials/achievements, but neither left me feeling certain they were the right choice. For instance, the visit with Dr. ‘X’ seemed somewhat informal. I looked at a very simple 3-ring binder of previous surgical before-and-after photos, followed by a short consultation to conclude with his surgical game plan: remove the ball of fat beneath my nipples (which gave them a puffed appearance) and no liposuction. He was a professional kind of guy, nice, but just didn't feel he was the right fit for me. Further, as I am somewhat young (23 at the time of surgery) I'm not sure whether my inquiry into surgery was taken seriously; I sensed he wrote me off as a serious client before the close of the visit. In all, both the surgeons left me a little miffed and seriously let down that finding a surgeon would be more difficult than initially anticipated. My experience with Dr. White was totally in opposition to the previous two doctors. First off, his office staff was incredibly polite and well versed with the procedure. And, on a more superficial note, the office ---and the staff for that matter --- were very upscale, super posh. For example, pre-and-post op surgical photos were displayed on large flat panel television, not a lackluster three ring binder. Of course, had the photos been sup-par or few in number my choice would have been look elsewhere; however, there were many fine examples of his work. Further, his assistant narrowed the photos down to patients with similarity to my own as to show what could be done...very personalized and specific. By the end of my consultation, I went forward and scheduled my procedure. The price was more than the other doctors with which I consulted; however, Dr. White insisted the additional procedure of liposuction across the chest. He said if only the bulbous gland beneath the nipple were removed, a depression in the immediate area could subsequently develop, a point overlooked/left out by either of the two other doctors. I'm super pleased with Dr. White. My experience before, during, and post-surgery was nothing less than wonderful. Wish I had undergone the procedure at 18 rather than 23, but happy to have had done so nonetheless. More

I am so happy about the results of my surgery! Dr. White exceeded my expectations! I visited two other doctors, but after meeting with Dr. White, I knew he was the one. His staff is great and worked with my schedule, while other staffs I dealt with could never seem to work me in. Dr. White’s care of me before and after surgery has been amazing! I can't believe how happy I've been with the results of my surgery. To think I was hesitant in the beginning to ever have any. I came to Dr. White because I was going to have a hysterectomy and wanted abdominoplasty performed on the same day. The only regret I have is not doing this sooner! The results are wonderful! I had 3 doctors on my list to consult before having a tummy tuck and liposuction of my outer thighs. Dr. White was the first doctor I consulted. He was very thorough and explained everything so I could understand it. He answered all my questions and was very informative about the procedures I inquired about. The other 2 doctors were scratched from my list, and my decision was made when I left his office that first day that Dr. White would be my surgeon. I can't count the times I heard nurses, techs, and other staff state that I was Dr. White's patient, and how things should be done a certain way because he is so particular. I can't tell you how comforting it was to hear those comments just before being put to sleep. I was a little skeptical when Dr. White wanted to stop the pain pills after the first day. He said I would feel a little rough the first evening, and the next day I would feel better, and would feel better with each day. It was exactly as he said it would be. I am extremely pleased with the results of my surgery so far. Dr. White tells me it will only get better because I am still swollen (It has only been 19 days since my surgery). Dr. White went above and beyond my expectations and told me he even surprised himself a little on what he could achieve on my particular procedure. After researching doctors for a couple of years you become very familiar and disappointed with the steady lack of attention the doctors and their offices deliver. In fact, you become very in tune to what it is you ARE looking for. So after my first visit with Dr. White, I was shocked that I had found my doctor. In fact, my husband didn't understand why I was so hyper about the initial visit with Dr. White, having seen my reaction to the others. What a well-oiled operation (no pun intended...)! Dr. White and his entire team are amazing. Human nature tells us to look for the holes in things, there are no holes in this team. And I say team because it was very clear that Dr. White trusts his staff completely. People want service, care, and most importantly TIME because the details are discovered in the time given. Did I ever get time!! And I am still getting it from the entire staff with every post-surgery appointment. One of Dr. Whites jewels in his practice is his nurse, Jennifer. I ask a thousand questions, notepad in tow, and she always pre and post-surgery had answers, tips (amazing tips) and suggestions that endeared me to her. She is exactly the type of person needed in this environment, what a caveat he has in her. I am writing to thank you. I recently underwent an abdominoplasty, breast lift, and revision liposuction. I was very cautious in choosing my cosmetic surgeon. I have battled a weight problem for most of my life. I had gastric bypass surgery and then lost 100 pounds, leaving me feeling better than ever, but with excess skin around the belly and with droopy breasts. This may very well be one of the hardest things I have every put to paper. I have started this note, in my head, over and over, yet always coming to the same conclusion; Words just don't seem adequate to express my feelings about my tummy tuck. When I got the news that I would have to have a hysterectomy and there would be another cut to my child-bearing ravaged abdomen, I knew that I had been given the opportunity to have the tummy tuck I had dreamed about for years. I asked my gynecologist for some references and began the process. We narrowed the search to two names, given the credentials we had checked and the information we had. I scheduled my first consultation with another Plastic Surgeon, had my meeting, and left not feeling very confident about the time we had spent together. Then on to my first meeting with you and your staff. From the first minutes in your office, I was welcomed and put at such ease with the process. When you introduced yourself and began telling me your philosophy on work ethic and diligence, I was immediately confident that I had met someone with my same standard of dedication to detail. As we talked about how you would follow my gynecologist in the operating room and the great concern you had for setting a surrounding that would insure the best outcome for me, I was put further at ease. You allowed me to ask all the questions I could think of, and then you filled in with all the expertise you had amassed over the years. When I left that first visit, I was sure you would be my choice of surgeons for my much anticipated tummy tuck. The day of pictures, you and your staff were so careful to keep me comfortable with the process. As scheduling time for the surgery approached, your wonderful staff even took care of that for me. Dealing with a doctor outside of the Presbyterian Hospital, your staff made all the calls to coordinate the schedules between both doctors, found the most reasonable surgical unit, and set the schedule for the surgery. I simply waited for the phone call telling me that it had all been arranged and what I would need to do next. Two days before surgery, you met with my husband and me, making sure that he was as comfortable with the process as I had become. You allowed him to ask all the questions he could think of, and then again, you filled in all that he would need to know as to what to expect and how he would care for me after surgery. I left that day telling you that you had my complete confidence. Morning of surgery: You met me at the hospital to make sure you had done all the pre-surgical marking you needed to do to ensure the best outcome for me. Then you sat and waited until my gynecologist had finished and you moved in to do your work. And that is where my words fall short. I knew my tummy would look better and you would do the very best that could be done, but I had no idea that it would turn out as well as it has. Best expressed by my husband It's as if you were a canvas waiting for an artist to do a magnificent work, and Dr. White was the artist, and he has done beautiful work. I could not be happier with the choice that I made both to do the tummy tuck and with you as my surgeon. Where do I begin? I truly believe Dr. White is the best at what he does. His nurse and the rest of his staff are top notch as well. During our first consultation, I could tell that Dr. White's warm-side of cocky nature was not just talk. He has the skills to back up his confidence! That's exactly what I wanted in my surgeon. I had been looking into getting a tummy tuck almost immediately after my second son was born. Aftercountless hours looking at photos online, I just couldn't bring myself to trading a little bit of skin for thehigh, rigid scars that were starring back at me. I am a busy finance executive of a Fortune 500 company with a CPA and MBA. I have worked in the business world for 23 years. After gaining 50% of my body weight with both pregnancies, and having two C-Sections (two separate incisions --- one vertical and one horizontal) my stomach was a mess. When my daughter went off to college, I started a vigorous exercise program to get my stomach back into shape. I exercised three to four times a week for 3 years. Well, where should I begin? I have so much to say! I looked fine before my two plastic surgeries, however, now I look totally awesome! I could never thank you enough, Dr. White. I am a 40 year old registered nurse, former research scientist, and former quality assurance analyst. I have had nine surgeries, six of which have been cosmetic. I went to one board certified plastic surgeon for liposuction; after two attempts and $20,000, he still didn't get it right. Next, I had a rhinoplasty by another plastic surgeon that checked out under investigation --- but this surgery has worsened my breathing problem. I then proceeded to have breast implants and a mini tummy tuck with another very reputable board certified surgeon. I woke from surgery with extreme itching yet was sent home after surgery. For nearly three years I was hesitant to undergo tummy tuck surgery for three major reasons: First, fear of a bad experience (as I had in my first cesarean). Second, fear that it wouldn't come out as nice as seen in magazines (which appear retouched photos!). My mother-in-law had undergone rhinoplasty many years ago, and she encouraged me by saying that she had a good experience and that it helped her self- image. Since the birth of my two children (ages 7 and 5), I have spent countless hours in the gym or pounding the pavement. I have run three marathons and am very fit. Having a tummy tuck was a dream I had for many years after giving birth to three children. After giving birth to my children, I was left with loose, overstretched tummy skin. I was scared to have plastic surgery. Years ago, I had liposuction done by a prominent surgeon. My pain was terrible and wasn't relieved for weeks! When I decided that I was going to have breast augmentation I went to Dr. White because he had been referred to me by a young lady that had received Rhinoplasty from him. I was just beginning to look for a doctor and had two other referrals that I would be visiting. However, after my husband and I went to see Dr. White in his beautiful, relaxed office, I didn't want to even investigate another doctor. Why would I want to go to someone that makes me choose my final breast size? How can a patient choose that when I don't know what the final outcome would look like? I did extensive research on the procedures I desired prior to embarking on looking for a physician. I came across Dr. White in a rather unusual way. My husband and I were looking through a D Magazine and came across an advertisement about him. My sister-in-law happened to be looking over my shoulder and made the idle remark that she knew Dr. White's work, as many of her co-workers had procedures done by him and looked great. It's been 5 months since my surgery, Dr. White. How time flies! Just wanted to say thank you for the awesome care I received from day one. You and your staff are in a league of their own! I needed to have a hysterectomy because of fibroids, but I have really wanted to have a tummy tuck for years. For 19 years, I planned the demise of my marsupial pouch that hung on my abdomen after pregnancy. That event occurred on July 18th, 2006! From the first day I walked into Dr. White's office, met his office staff, and then him, I knew that I had made an excellent choice. I left there feeling confident of his skills and cancelled my other consultations. Now, if you would ask any of my family, friends, or co-workers, they would tell you I am very cautious and never go into anything without covering all the angles first. Being a nurse and working in a large hospital, I was very aware of all the things that can go wrong. I felt very guilty and fearful of having elective surgery. Surgery day went off just as described and I felt like a Queen. Dr. White was there for me before, during, and after my surgery. His attention to the littlest details, from pre-surgery, surgery, and post -surgery, was impressive and shows in the final results! When I speak with other plastic surgery patients, I find that this attention is not the norm. At times you find that you are anxious to just get the whole recovery period over with, but it is worth the extra attention to detail in the end results. Dr. White surrounds himself with professionals that hold his same philosophy. At the hospital, you find attentive and compassionate care. His office staff are friendly and care about you as a person; sharing in your excitement as your body changes. Last but not least...PAIN...they say that the recovery period from an abdominoplasty or tummy tuck is the hardest and most painful procedure of any plastic surgery. My first thoughts of liposuction instilled feelings of excitement, fear and anxiety at the same time. I was excited when I imagined how I would look after surgery and scared to death when I thought about the actual process. I met other doctors, but never left those consultations with any certainty that I understood the procedure or what to expect. I spoke to friends who had liposuction and walked away with an arsenal full of horror stories! They told me all about the pain, swelling, misery and scarring. Most of them had ¬º inch to ¬O inch incisions. I was just about ready to forego the idea of surgery, and then I met Dr. White. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. White. On the day of the appointment I talked a friend into going with me. It was her job to make sure I walked away with all my questions answered. After a few hours with Dr. White, I had all the answers I needed. I was blown away by his honesty and impressed by his knowledge and experience. By the end of the consultation, every fear, every doubt, and all uncertainty disappeared. Dr. White put me at ease and I knew I was in good hands. We were taught that inner beauty is a true gift and outer beauty walks the earth in many forms. Unlike my friends, I was not the little girl whose mother privately ridiculed her figure. Rather, mine always pointed out my unique beauty and spirit. Despite this healthy childhood, I am a self-conscious adult and have always had a poor relationship with my body. I've worked very hard to realize that my beauty is not standard but unique, yet I always harshly judged myself by the shape of my thighs. Having had two beautiful children didn't come without a price. My body took a heavy hit from the physical stress caused by my pregnancies. Having researched a lot of plastic surgeons in the area, I chose Dr. White for my procedures (Tummy Tuck and Liposuction) --- and I'm sure glad I did. After all, whether you came out a defective model from the assembly line or whether wear and tear of daily living took its toll, there's nothing wrong with going back in for some repairs!!! Bad results from cosmetic surgeries are more common that one would think. Having personally seen horribly rippled skin from some overzealous liposuction, I had flags set in my head on the criteria for choosing a plastic surgeon for my procedure. I believe plastic surgery is a subtle field and the intricacies can take many years to master. Anybody who sends in a nurse to check on me post op wasn't going to make the cut. I could not have asked for a better doctor here than Dr. White. Both pre and post op surgical care was excellent to the nth degree. Dr. White personally checked on me several times over the course of my hospital stay (though it was a weekend) and was always promptly available to answer any and all questions. I personally clocked it once that the time from when I called his after-hours line to when he returned my call was less than a minute! Such commitment to patients is rare and makes the difference between a good surgeon and an exceptional one. It also made me very comfortable to know that Dr. White would never compromise health and safety for looks. Talking about the results themselves --- they could not have been any better! Eyes pop when I tell people that I have children. While I never obsessed about my looks, the admiring glances are enough to know that I look the best I ever have. For close to thirty years, I have haunted the offices of the best plastic surgeons in Dallas hoping to find one who could restore my stomach to some semblance of how it looked before I had children. I never could find one whose results were good enough for me to want to have a tummy tuck until I met Dr. White. Dr. White was the only surgeon to suggest an extended abdominoplasty, which would remove loose skin all the way around to my back and, along with some liposuction on my legs, might actually give me a shape better than I had before any of my pregnancies. He was the only one to offer me the possibility of a scar so fine and undisruptive of the surrounding skin that I wouldn't mind its extra length, a scar well-placed enough to be covered by almost any bikini. And he was the only one to give me hope for an attractive, completely normal-looking belly button. True patient care has become quite a cliche' in today's society ... but when it comes to Dr. White, it couldn't be more genuine. I am a 26 year old male who needed a tummy tuck. The problem was there are few to no 26 year old MEN who have had one. Herein lies the problem: I found thousands of women who have gone through the procedure, but not men. Obviously, this made me very apprehensive. So I performed as much research as I could on my own and studied everything I could get my hands on ... but still could not find any research about Tummy Tucks on Men. So, I decided to go on several consultations with several publicly recognized Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeons. Each appointment I went on was the same: Talk to a receptionist in the consult room for 15 minutes about the surgery, anesthesia, recovery, etc... the doctor comes in and looks at me for a minute or two, asks me if I have questions, and I'm done. In and out in about 20 minutes. I thought this was the norm. I heard about Dr. White through a relative, and went on a consultation. Dr. White spent an hour and a half with me explaining not just about how the surgery is performed, but why it's performed the way it is. He walked me through step by step every point during the surgery. He told me that his full tummy tucks are done in a hospital and not in an outpatient center. He told me that he uses real anesthesiologists only. He made me feel like his only patient. This was so inconsistent with the other doctors. Dr. White told me that male tummy tucks are uncommon, but he showed me the differences between this procedure on a man and a woman. He showed me the attention to detail that he has during surgery ... that my surgery would take as long as it should to get the best possible results the safest way possible. He told me about all of the preventative measures he takes to ensure my safety during the procedure ... something that the other doctors didn't do. He told me that the follow-up visits are crucial, that I needed to see him as often as twice per week in the first two or three weeks following surgery to ensure that my body was handling the surgery OK. The other doctors told me that I would need to come one time three weeks after surgery, but to call if I had any problems. Do you think this is where the true patient care cliche' was born? I think so. Aside from a perfect surgery with a phenomenal result, is my self-esteem. I wanted this procedure done for so many different reasons. Dr. White TRULY understood me and shares in my elation. The best part of all is that I have made a new friend ... Someone who I believe truly cares. Not just someone who says so in a brochure. I had just come through a divorce and was not feeling great about my body. I came to Dallas on a visit and started looking into the idea of a tummy tuck. I did some research and Dr. White kept coming up. I begged for an appointment (as he was very booked) before going back home. Dr. White and his staff were wonderful. He was very friendly and it felt like I'd known him forever. He explained everything in detail and I did not feel like he was rushing me to see the next patient. I went back home and thought about it. Living in the New York area, I had great doctors but I did not feel comfortable. They would send me home immediately after surgery. Dr. White insisted on at least 1 night in the hospital. After coming back to Dallas, I scheduled my surgery. I felt very confident and trusted Dr. White. He came to see me every day in the hospital. I opted to stay extra days in the hospital because I didn't have a full-time caregiver. Dr. White was mine for that time. He even showed up on a Saturday night. Who would do that just to check up on you?My follow-up visits were continuous. Not just see you in 1-2 weeks! I felt very well taken care of. Wow! What can I say ... except that Dr. White did everything he could to make me feel comfortable as well as well-informed?I have wanted to have a tummy tuck for 19 years, after my first son was born, but always felt like it was too extreme of a surgery to have chosen to go through. I am a male 53 years old. I have never before been able to wear tight fitting shirts or been able to swim without a shirt due to large breasts. I was always so self-conscious about my chest area and embarrassed to take off my shirt. Now after the breast reduction (liposuction), I am able to wear every shirt that I want to.
